The 4G PT Camera Now Supports Wired LAN
With the new firmware, the camera can connect to a wired network, be added to an NVR and accessed remotely when internet access is available at the site.
The Videosec 3 MP, 4 mm hybrid 4G IP PT camera could previously operate only over a 4G connection. With the new firmware, it can also connect to a wired network.
LAN connection and NVR integration
After the update, the camera can be connected to the local network with a LAN cable and added to an NVR. If internet access is available at the site, the camera can also be accessed remotely over the wired connection.
4G operation remains available, so you can choose the connection method that best suits the site.
Supplied with updated firmware
Newly purchased cameras are supplied with the firmware that enables LAN connectivity. Previously purchased cameras can be updated by following these steps.
How to update the firmware
- Connect the camera to the local network using a LAN cable.
- Open the camera’s web interface in a browser.
- In the Maintenance menu, browse to the downloaded firmware file and install it, as you would with other cameras.
Important: firmware cannot be updated through the Cloud for this camera.
