Which mount and junction box fits your camera?

The right mount and junction box for a Videosec IP camera depends on the camera model: dome, bullet, fisheye and PTZ cameras are built with different base plates and fixing holes. This guide shows, model by model, which junction box, wall mount, pole mount or pendant mount goes with each camera. Find your camera model in the tables, and its row gives you the part numbers of the matching accessories.

What do the accessory names mean?

• Junction box: fits between the camera and the wall or mount, and gives the cables and connectors a place to sit, so they are not left hanging.
• Wall mount: for mounting on a side wall, with the camera fixed to the end of the bracket.
• Wall mount with junction box: a wall mount with a built-in junction box, as a single part.
• Pole mount: a strap adapter for mounting on a pole; it attaches to the wall mount, the junction box or directly to the camera.
• Pendant mount: a pipe hanging from the ceiling, with the camera fixed to its end.
• In-ceiling mount: a fixing that can be built into a suspended ceiling.
• Corner mount: for mounting on the corner of a building.

The TR-A01-IN NPT ¾" plastic waterproof joint (cable gland) can be used with every junction box. It suits cables 6.5–10.5mm in diameter, and the guide marks it as optional.

Dome cameras

Dome cameras use one of three junction box types, depending on the camera's base plate. A wall mount can go on the junction box, and the TR-UP06-C-IN pole mount attaches to the wall mount if you are mounting the camera on a pole.

Wall mount with sunshield

For some dome cameras, the junction box can also go on the wall with a sunshield wall mount:

• IPD-324LS-28F, IPD-325IQ-28S, IPD-328LSA-28F: TR-JB03-G-IN junction box and HS-205S,
• IPD-3534LSA-28Z: TR-JB03-H-IN junction box and HS-207S,
• IPF-868IQ-F18-C fisheye camera: TR-JB04-C-IN junction box and HS-207S.

Indoor pendant mounting

The TR-CM24-IN pendant mount, NPT ¾" and 200mm long, works with every junction box for dome and fisheye cameras (TR-JB03-G-IN, TR-JB03-H-IN, TR-JB03-I-IN, TR-JB04-C-IN). If you need more distance from the ceiling, it can optionally be extended: by 200mm with the TR-SE24-IN or by 500mm with the TR-SE24-A-IN. The pendant mount is designed for indoor use; if you install it outdoors, waterproofing has to be dealt with separately.

Fisheye camera

The IPF-868IQ-F18-C fisheye camera uses the TR-JB04-C-IN junction box. Its wall mount with junction box is the TR-JB07/WM04-IN, its separate wall mount is the TR-WM04-IN, and it goes on a pole with the TR-UP06-C-IN pole mount. To recess it into a suspended ceiling, use the TR-FM152-A-IN in-ceiling mount.

Bullet cameras

Bullet cameras can be mounted two ways: with a junction box, which goes on a pole with the TR-UP06-C-IN mount, or without one, with the camera fixed directly to the TR-UP06-B-IN pole mount. For pole mounting, the guide recommends a side cable outlet.

The IPW-2V25-IQ2-28SZ, IPW-LPR47-X10SZ, IPW-LPR80OV-X4PAL and TIC2621SR-F3-4F4AC-V can be mounted on a wall, hung from the ceiling or fixed to a pole. For a pole, use the TR-UP06-C-IN pole mount, again with a side cable outlet. The guide does not name a separate mount for wall or pendant mounting.

Mini bullet cameras

The two groups of mini bullet cameras take different junction boxes: one square, one round. Without a junction box, both groups mount directly on the TR-UP06-B-IN pole mount; with a junction box, they go on the TR-UP06-C-IN pole mount.

Positioning system

The junction box for the PTZ-6325IQ-X5SWAL positioning system is the TR-JB07-D-IN. With the junction box it goes on a pole with the TR-UP06-C-IN, and without it directly with the TR-UP06-B-IN pole mount; here too, the guide recommends a side cable outlet.

PTZ cameras

The PTZ-6424IQ-X25S, PTZ-6622IQ-X25S60 and PTZ-6624OV-X33IQDL PTZ cameras can be hung from the ceiling or mounted with a wall mount.

Indoor pendant mounting

• TR-UF45-A-IN pendant mount adapter, directly on the ceiling, with side cabling,
• TR-SE45-A-IN 500mm pendant pipe with the TR-UF45-A-IN adapter,
• TR-CE45-IN 200mm pendant pipe, with side cabling.

The pendant mount adapter is designed for indoor use; for outdoor pendant mounting, waterproofing has to be dealt with separately.

Wall, pole and corner mounting

On a wall, use the shorter TR-WE45-IN or the longer TR-WE45-A-IN wall mount. The TR-JB12-IN junction box can go behind the wall mount. The wall mount can be fixed to a pole with the TR-UP08-A-IN steel pole mount, or to the corner of a building with the TR-UC08-A-IN steel corner mount, with or without the junction box.

Before you mount it

Once you have the mount, it is worth connecting, setting up and testing the camera before installation, and reading through its manual while you do. That way, all that is left on site is fixing and connecting it. If you have a question, email us before the installation, so we can answer in time.
